Coming 2 America (2021)
This is not what I expected. It felt more like Coming to Africa as we only spend under five minutes actually in Queens, New York! But that wasn't the biggest problem. The story didn't know where it was going and the comedy was non-existent. At times it felt like a talent vehicle for Jermaine Fowler who pranced on screen like a peacock. Eddie Murphy was just Eddie Murphy but older and a little weary. The only redeeming feature were great Hollywood heavyweights such as James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman and Wesley Snipes (who clearly enjoyed himself!)
VERDICT
Overall, It's boring and a bit pointless. This movie should've been made 20 years earlier.

The Batman (2022)
The new Batman has hit our screen and it is not a disappointment. It's extremely long at 2h 56m but the cinematography is beautiful. There are great action set pieces. The casting of Robert Pattinson is a great choice. Matt Reeves shows he's a confident and capable director. It's very atmospheric which keeps it very watchable. Zoe Kravitz plays an excellent Selina Kyle.
VERDICT
Very enjoyable, worth a watch!
